WOBBLE-FREE DESIGN
Our patented anti-wobble design is so good, it’s patented! The SCOUT features a hollow tongue, with a solid 1.5″ threaded insert, and a stainless steel threaded pin that bolt it to your hitch to prevent your rack from dancing while you’re driving. An automotive grade lock is not included with the SCOUT, but is available for purchase to keep the SCOUT safe in your hitch.

My upcoming vacation is a week away at the time I write this review. However, the fact that I had to assemble very little in connection to the carrier already is an upside for me. Also, the product looks stunning. I feel like it’s worth the money. I am hopping that I have no issues when I take off next week. Installation was easy; it looks like a quality product; great size for all the gears we plan to take to our 1 week trip; and it’s made in the US (goes perfectly well with my Jeep, haha).

What a great product. Even the packaging was streamlined and easy to unpack. Very easy to assemble (although it’s a little piece of hell if you try to do it with the provided wrenches-get two socket wrenches and counter-rotate). Feels very sturdy and well-constructed. I need to go out and get a 7/8″ socket to complete the installation, which is a little bit of a bummer. This is the first thing I’ve ever put in a tow hitch receiver, and it has been generally unintimidating. Also, quite the looker. Worth the premium price for the made in the USA quality and environmental responsibility.

The product fit and finish are fantastic. Although I was warned by customer service that there is a clearance issue with my 2020 Porsche Cayenne, I ordered anyway to see if it would fit and if not, use on my other vehicle. If you unscrew the trailer electronics coupler from its mount you have enough room to install the bolt and lock correctly. I will have to zip tie the connector while using the rack, but that’s all. No trimming required. Perhaps you could add a small offset plate for the connector?
