Featuring the same burly T.I.G. welded quality and huge cargo space as the PAKMULE Pro-Original, but with a lower rail height to accommodate 35″ spare tires, swing open rear doors, and the tailgate on Land Cruisers. Made from 100% aluminum, the PAKMULE SwayBack will never rust, weighs a mere 40lbs, and yet is burly enough to handle 650lbs of cargo!
Our Pro series racks feature a solid aluminum tongue (yes a burly, 2″x2″ solid piece of structural grade aluminum right into the hitch) to handle the toughest loads and the knarliest roads. All Pro series racks are hand welded, and then heat-treated for extra strength right here in Texas.

PAKMULE installs into a 2″ square receiver opening. With reducers, the PAKMULE will fit in a 2.5″ receiver hitch. If you have a 3″ hitch, be sure to purchase a 3″ hitch pin.
(*in many configurations. Coolers sizes tested up to a Yeti 65 along outer rail for most SUV’s and Land Cruiser Tailgates. Yeti 45’s for truck tailgates. Larger sizes may not open.)
Be aware of proximity to exhaust. Heat from vehicle exhaust can damage paint and can melt cargo products loaded. This is primarily a concern on rear-facing exhaust.

Due to its size, we are able to ship our Sway-Back model UPS Ground. It’s an easy and quick ship method. Current transit time, once it leaves our dock, is 2-4 days, and we offer expedited options at checkout as well.

The swayback is the perfect choice for the new mercedes sprinter.I store our Coleman road trip grille in a 48 gallon Actionpacker and carry it along with a 55 quart bear proof cooler and still have room for camp chairs that store in their own cargo bag.I will be adding more MULEstraps, they also are the toughest I’ve found.

I’ve used the Swayback now on a few adventures and couldn’t be happier. It’s low profile enough so it doesn’t interfere with the spare tire on my Jeep JLU Rubicon, or is at home on the back of my RAM truck. I’ve loaded it up with multiple Orion Coolers in a few sizes — a couple Orion 65’s side by side, or you can line up 4 Orion 45’s turned sideways. It’s light and easy to remove and install by one person. Highly recommend.
